Title: Love Love Love 67
Artist: Paul Harrison
Love Love Love 67
The aim of this work is to create a contemporary sculpture that inspires hope and optimism for a brighter future in a child's life.
Titled Love Love Love 67, the number 67 refers to the 67 languages spoken in Ireland, excluding Irish and English, as recorded in the 2022 Census. The sculpture is a celebration of community and inclusion in a modern, multicultural Ireland.
The piece consists of two interwoven elements that symbolise the deep connections between mother, child, and Hampson House.
The inner form, coated in a vibrant purple, represents a mother’s pregnancy. Delicately shaped, it contains 40 apertures—each symbolising one week in the journey of pregnancy.
Encasing this, the outer volume is finished in a vivid red-orange and represents a child’s developmental journey within Hampson House. It features 30 apertures, marking the 30 months (or two and a half years) that a child is nurtured and supported in this space.
The sculpture as a whole seeks to embody a dynamic, energised presence—one that celebrates love, care, and the strength of community.
